Finally our blue water is here! Yellowtails are still biting however there is nothing like watching a Marlin in the spread or a Dorado hookup!
Dakota had an awesome weekend, we ran out 12 miles at a 175 to a large barn door floating on the water, there was not much action as there were several boats working the area and the fish were down, after the other boats lost interest we chummed the door with some sardines, by our third pass the fish had come to back in and BANG POW!!! We had our first Dorado of the season. We put the lines back in the water, turned the Dakota back toward the door and FISH ON…. A TRIPLE HOOKUP!!! What a battle
We boated our limit with nice dinner size Dorado, and then headed back home for a fresh fish fry at Blackies restaurant where they prepared our fish 3 different ways, what a great day!
The best of luck this summer!
