Imagine yourself on a dingy ride up the jungle river at Mulege; Attend a Mexican Fiesta with Mariachis or Saturday night Pig Roast at Hotel Serenidad where fifty private planes will fly in on a dirt air strip for the party; fish and dive around Isla Tortuga or Martier before visiting Santa Rosalia, where a Cast Iron Church designed by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel (tower) stands, then of to dinner at the beautiful restored Hotel Francis; enjoy a cold Margarita in a Loretto Palapa bar after a day of shopping.
Snorkel with friendly seals at Isla San Pedro Nolasco; visit Pulpito, Isla Ildefonso, Conception Bay, or our personal favorite San Juanic. Swim with the giant Manta Rays in La Paz, or night fish for the Giant Humboldt Squid.
Typically we see pods of whales, their blows that can be seen for miles, or so close you can smell there breathe. Sea birds rest on the shells of sea turtles; watch the schools of acrobatic dolphins ride the bow of the Dakota, so close you could touch them, free dive and spear a Dorado for a fresh grilled fish fry in the cockpit of the Dakota or be the one to catch and fight your record billfish, tuna, or dorado.
The Sea of Cortez has over 900 species of marine life and called “The Aquarium of the World” by Jacques Cousteau. The destinations, sea life, and the natural raw beauty are endless.
